Founded in 2008, Pelotonia was established with one goal:

— END CANCER —

The GOAL of Pelotonia remains simple: thanks to the incredibly generous support from you, our funding partners, 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to fund cancer research at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Pelotonia is an opportunity to get closer to finding a cure for cancer. Join Makeready as we partner with Rockbridge in joining forces with the incredible research teams of Ohio State University Cancer Center.

What We’ve done

Makeready has ridden 6,609 miles and raised more than $277,000 from 2016 to 2022.

What we’re doing

Our 2023 goal is to raise $150,000. We have currently raised more than $88,000 with rider commitments, overages from riders, and HI-Impact for May and June 2023. Our team is riding 1,241 miles this year, bringing our total miles to 7,850.

So what does it mean to play a role in the journey to find a cure? For Pelotonia it means adventure. Thousands will gather August 5-6, strapping on a helmet and hopping on a bike for a weekend of cycling through the beauty of Columbus. This journey consists of a 20 to 200 miles. Thanks to our incredible sponsors each rider will be provided with the best of equipment and encouragement ensuring 100% of the amount raised goes to innovative cancer research.

At the James Hospital, 306 beds are devoted to full medical attention of patients. In addition to this, 300 researchers experience face to face interaction with the patients, making it nearly a 1-1 ratio. Since 2008 our partnership to this unique hospital has ensured research happens every moment whether in a lab with medicine or in the rooms with patients. Thanks to people like you over 130 million dollars has been raised and we hope to increase that number again this year with your help.
